These addition grids enable children to understand the commutativity of addition as they find the sum of numbers at the top of each column and the start of each row.
The numbers to be added get larger as the worksheet progresses. Pupils add two numbers together from 2 - 15 inclusive. Questions include finding the sum of two 2-digit numbers.

Frequently Asked Questions
Your child will develop their understanding that addition works both ways - for example, 7 + 5 gives the same answer as 5 + 7. The grids help them practise adding one-digit and two-digit numbers to 20, which is a key skill for Year 1 pupils. They'll also build confidence with mental arithmetic as they work through progressively larger numbers.
