Students are encouraged to use two slightly different methods for column multiplication of a two digit number by a single digit throughout this worksheet.

Questions are structured so that they progress from multiplications requiring no exchanges to harder multiplications with 2 exchanges.

The worksheet is perfect for year 3s as two digit numbers are multiplied by either 2, 3, 4, 5 or 8, inline with the UK curriculum. There are 14 multiplications for students workout in section A and square grids are provided with each question.

Section B consists of some problem solving questions.
