Emoji - Substitution WORKSHEET DESCRIPTION

Have some fun with this emoji-themed worksheet that introduces students to substitution without them even realising it!

In this activity, pupils are presented with 10 emojis, each assigned a value under 20. There are 24 calculations to solve by substituting the assigned values for the emojis. The calculations involve combinations of an emoji and a numerical value, two emojis, or three emojis. Students will need to use the correct order of operations for three questions, including the use of brackets.

We have created a series of worksheets for World Emoji Day, but they can be used at any time of the year!

All worksheets are created by the team of experienced teachers at Cazoom Maths.
