Estimating Angles WORKSHEET
Estimating Angles WORKSHEET DESCRIPTION
This worksheet will see pupils estimating the size of angles and describe them by identifying them as acute, obtuse, reflex or right.
Students will describe the 9 pre-drawn angles by completing a table in section A. The angles range in size from 30o to 290o and are all multiples of 10. However, students' answers can be accepted with ±5o accuracy.
In section B, we have provided the angle sizes for 10 angles. This time, learners should draw the angles by estimation as well as include the angle type.
All worksheets are created by the team of experienced teachers at Cazoom Maths.

Frequently Asked Questions
This worksheet focuses on helping Year 5 pupils estimate and classify acute, obtuse and reflex angles. They'll develop their visual judgement skills by looking at drawn angles and determining both their approximate size and correct classification. This builds essential geometric reasoning that forms the foundation for more advanced angle work later on.
