Learning objective: Divide numbers up to 4 digits by a two-digit number using the formal written methods of short division and long division with remainders as decimals.

Long and Short Division (B) (With Remainders) WORKSHEET DESCRIPTION

Section A contains 20 questions in “bus stop” style where 3 and 4-digit dividends are to be divided by a single digit.

Section B then provides similar dividends but with 2-digit divisors. The questions are suitable for all long and short-division methods using the “bus stop” notation.

All answers will produce decimals, but learners are not required to round them correctly at this stage.
