Measure Straight Lines (A) WORKSHEET

By completing this worksheet your pupils will be able to independently measure straight lines accurately using a ruler. All lines measure a whole number of centimetres throughout the worksheet.

In section A, pupils will measure the lengths of lines which are aligned alongside a ruler. Watch out as not all lines begin at 0 cm!

Section C asks pupils to measure a further 7 lines, this time using their own rulers. Lines are in vertical, horizontal and diagonal orientations.

Lastly, in section D a robot is waiting to have his body parts measured. Here pupils answer questions such as how wide is the robot’s body.
