Learning objective: Sequence events in chronological order.

Ordering Time (A) WORKSHEET DESCRIPTION

This is a cut-and-sort activity. Page 1 is made up of illustrated cards with different scenarios and times linked to them such as “We eat our lunch at 12 o’clock”.

On page 2 are clocks showing corresponding times on analogue clocks. Pupils are asked to cut out all cards, match the scenarios to the correct clocks and then put them all in chronological order.

All times are on the hour.

All worksheets are created by the team of experienced teachers at Cazoom Maths.

Frequently Asked Questions

This worksheet helps children develop their understanding of chronological sequencing, which is a key skill at this stage. By matching everyday scenarios to clock faces and then arranging them in time order, pupils learn to connect abstract time concepts with real-life experiences. It's particularly effective because all the times shown are on the hour, making it accessible for Year 1 learners who are just beginning to read analogue clocks.
