Parallel and Perpendicular Lines WORKSHEET
Parallel and Perpendicular Lines WORKSHEET DESCRIPTION
This worksheet will see learners identifying parallel and perpendicular lines within shapes and drawing shapes with a given number of parallel or perpendicular sides.
In section A pupils will mark pairs of parallel and perpendicular sides on six different polygons including a triangle, arrow head and more.
Then in section B learners are asked to draw two shapes on a dotty grid: one with exactly 2 right angles and 1 pair of parallel sides and the other with exactly 3 right angles and 2 pairs of parallel sides.
All worksheets are created by the team of experienced teachers at Cazoom Maths.

Frequently Asked Questions
Your child will develop their understanding of geometric properties by learning to identify pairs of perpendicular and parallel lines within various shapes. The learning objective focuses specifically on recognising these important line relationships, which forms a crucial foundation for more advanced geometry work. This skill helps children understand how shapes are constructed and how different sides relate to each other.
