Part whole models are used to support students in their work throughout this resource where hundreds are subtracted from four digit numbers.
The worksheet contains a mix of questions where no exchanges are necessary and where they are. Exchanges are introduced as hundreds are subtracted from multiples of 1,000, followed by multiples of 100, 10 and then any 4 digit number.
