Time Calcualtions (A) WORKSHEET
Time Calcualtions (A) WORKSHEET DESCRIPTION
Time Calculations will see learners using times in 12 and 24-hour formats and durations in minutes and hours and minutes in order to calculate start and end times and duration lengths.
In section A pupils are given the start time and duration of six films and are asked to calculate the end times of each.
Section B focuses on calculating durations. The section begins with a list of six pairs of times and pupils will find the length of time between the two times. There are also three-worded questions with themes such as the length of a meeting.
Students work backwards to find start times in section C. Firstly, they are given the arrival time and journey length of five trains and they will calculate the departure time of each. Again, there are three worded questions to conclude the worksheet.
All worksheets are created by the team of experienced teachers at Cazoom Maths.

Frequently Asked Questions
Your child will work with both 12-hour and 24-hour time formats whilst calculating durations measured in minutes, hours, and combinations of hours and minutes. They'll develop the ability to find missing information when given two parts of the time equation - whether that's working out start times, end times, or the duration between them.
