Learning objective: Describe and carry out translation using words on a square grid.

Translations - from Words WORKSHEET DESCRIPTION

Introduce your students to the translation of polygons with this worksheet. Here, your learners can build their confidence in completing a translation by drawing the image in the correct orientation before moving on to understanding translation vectors.

Section A consists of nine questions of an object and an image on individual square grids and asks students to describe each translation in words.

Next in section B, starting with a simple square, students will begin translating images from worded instructions. Some objects and images will overlap here.

All worksheets are created by the team of experienced teachers at Cazoom Maths.
