Area of Triangles WORKSHEET DESCRIPTION

This worksheet is great for learners wishing to practise using the 0.5absinC formula for finding the area of a triangle. It is also available with the added clues to add extra scaffolding.

Section A provides some straightforward questions involving finding the area when two sides and the included angle are given and one question where a side is to be found given the area. Section B provides some quadrilaterals of an unknown area.

Section C and an extension then provide some worded problems.

All worksheets are created by the team of experienced teachers at Cazoom Maths.

Frequently Asked Questions

Students should be confident with the sine rule and cosine rule before tackling these problems. They'll also need solid skills in rearranging formulae, as they'll be manipulating the Area = 0.5absinC formula to find different unknown values depending on what information is provided in each question.
