Composite Functions (B) WORKSHEET
Composite Functions (B) WORKSHEET DESCRIPTION
This worksheet is designed to give learners plenty of purposeful practice evaluating composite functions and derive their expressions. Three functions are provided at the start of the worksheet. It then presents a table where learners will need to evaluate composite functions created from three functions. A second table then provides some different functions labelled f, g and h. Learners must write the expressions both hfg(x) and gfh(x).
All worksheets are created by the team of experienced teachers at Cazoom Maths.

Frequently Asked Questions
Students should be comfortable evaluating functions using function notation and have solid algebraic skills in expanding and simplifying brackets. They'll need to confidently work with single, double and triple brackets, as composite functions often involve substituting one function into another, creating nested expressions that require careful expansion.
