Introduce your students to congruent shapes with this worksheet; where they will identify and draw congruent shapes as well as stating whether shapes are congruent or not including reasons.
In section A, students are given an image and have to pick out congruent shapes from a lineup.
Next, in section B, pupils will draw a congruent shape to one given. Each drawing has been started, adding the extra element of considering which orientation the congruent shape must be drawn in.
Finally, learners are faced with 3 pairs of shapes and they must state whether the pairs are congruent or not. This is a good opportunity to discuss similarity vs congruence with your class or individual.
