Density, Mass and Volume (A) worksheet description

Introduce your students to calculating density, mass and volume with this worksheet that incorporates a scientific element.

In section A, learners will familiarise themselves with the formula connecting density, mass and volume as they calculate the density of six different elements. Here masses are given in grams and kilograms and volumes in cm³.

Next, in section B, students will use a given density to complete a stacked number line linking volume and mass.

Lastly, learners will use given densities to calculate either the mass or volume of a further eight elements.

Students will have to work with and convert between grams, kilograms, cm³, m³ and litres throughout. The use of a calculator is required.
