Enlargement with Fractional Negative Scale Factors WORKSHEET DESCRIPTION
This worksheet is designed to develop students' understanding of enlarging shapes from a given centre of enlargement with exclusively negative, fractional scale factors.
The worksheet is split into two sections. In Section A, students enlarge objects by various negative and fractional scale factors, including unit, proper, and improper fractions. The centre of enlargement, marked with an 'X', varies in position relative to the object; from on a vertex, in line with a vertex, or inside the object.
Section B focuses on problems on an x and y axis with centres of enlargement given as coordinates. The scale factors in this section include decimals and a mixed number.
