Factorising Quadratic Expressions (C) WORKSHEET
Factorising Quadratic Expressions (C) WORKSHEET DESCRIPTION
Factorising Quadratic Expressions C is for learners that can already factorise into double brackets and are ready for a challenge. There are 36 questions in total across two sections and an extension.
Throughout section A, learners will need to manipulate the expressions before factorising into double brackets by collecting like terms or expanding single brackets and simplifying. Expressions to be factored include those with a coefficient of x squared greater than 1.
Then in section B, pupils will factorise using the difference of two squares. The section again progresses to include expressions which need to be manipulated before being factorised. This can involve taking out a factor before the difference of two squares can be used.
All worksheets are created by the team of experienced teachers at Cazoom Maths.
