Factors and Primes WORKSHEET
Factors and Primes WORKSHEET DESCRIPTION
‘Factors and Primes’ is the perfect introduction to prime factor decomposition or consolidation activity after working with factors and identifying prime numbers.
Aiming to equip students with a systematic approach, they are given a table of numbers from 1 - 30 and 1 - 50 and asked to highlight all the prime numbers and factors of 30 and 50, respectively. The identified numbers are then sorted in Venn diagrams into sets of primes and factors. The prime factors of these numbers suddenly appear in the intersections!
Students will repeat this activity with four more Venn diagrams to complete. For the extra challenge, we have included three sets of Venn diagrams, allowing teachers and parents to discuss common factors.
All worksheets are created by the team of experienced teachers at Cazoom Maths.
