Formulae for Length Area and Volume WORKSHEET DESCRIPTION

This worksheet contains most of the formulae for perimeter, area, surface and volume that students are required to know or derive at the GCSE level. Here, students are given fifteen different formulae and they are required to state what each formula is used for. No images are included and formulae consist of variables only.

The following area formulae are included: rectangle, triangle, trapezium, circle and surface area of cylinder, sphere and cone. The following volume formulae are included: cube, cuboid, cylinder, sphere, cone and triangular prism.

There is a possibility to extend learners by setting variables at a certain value and asking students to use the formulae to find the actual area or perimeter of each shape.

All worksheets are created by the team of experienced teachers at Cazoom Maths.
