Fraction - Increase and Decrease WORKSHEET DESCRIPTION

Throughout this worksheet learners will increase and decrease integers by unit and non unit fractions.

Section A uses bar models to build students' confidence. Bar models are an effective visual tool to help learners understand increasing or decreasing an amount by a certain fraction.

In section B students will answer 8 further questions without the support of bar models.

Then section C shows learners how to use fraction multiplication in order to increase or decrease an amount by a fraction. Students will then use this method to answer another 8 questions.

Challenge your pupils in section D with four problem solving questions.

All worksheets are created by the team of experienced teachers at Cazoom Maths.

Frequently Asked Questions
