Multiplying by Zero Point Five WORKSHEET DESCRIPTION

This worksheet introduces multiplying integers by decimal numbers by focusing on decimal numbers ending in 0.5.

In section A, pupils will complete ten multiplications beginning with 4 x 0.5 and progressing to 50 x 7.5, thus combining students' knowledge of using time tables to multiply mentally with the inclusion of decimal numbers.

There is variation in questioning in section B as learners will complete four multiplication grids. Here they will progress to using the product to complete the grid, encouraging them to consider decimal division too. For example, 4.5 ÷ 0.5 = 9.

All worksheets are created by the team of experienced teachers at Cazoom Maths.
