Rounding to One Decimal Place WORKSHEET DESCRIPTION

This worksheet provides three sets of 30 questions to get your learners practicing rounding to one decimal place.

Section A begins with some values with two decimals that will round to either 3.1 or 3.2, then increase in size but will round to point 2 or 3. It then has 10 values which will round to a point 5 or point 6.

Section B keeps the numbers only having two decimals but increases their size to numbers in hundreds and thousands.

Finally, section C provides some practice with numbers of mixed size with three decimals.

All worksheets are created by the team of experienced teachers at Cazoom Maths.

Frequently Asked Questions

Students should have a solid understanding of place value and decimals before tackling these rounding exercises. This foundation is essential because they'll need to identify which digit determines the rounding decision and understand how decimal positions work. Without these prerequisite skills, learners may struggle to locate the correct decimal places when rounding.
