Shading Regions (B) WORKSHEET
Suitable for Year groups: Year 10, Year 11
GCSE Tier: Higher
Targeting grades: 6-7
Prerequisite knowledge: Straight line graphs in the form y=mx+c and ax+by=c, linear inequalities.
Shading Regions (B) WORKSHEET DESCRIPTION
This worksheet follows on from Shading Regions (A) and now looks at more complicated straight-line equations in the form y=mx+c and ax+by=c.
In the lefthand table, learners must define the inequality for the unshaded region and state whether a point is inside, outside the region or on the lines.
The righthand side table asks learners to draw the lines and indicate the region and then decide if a given point is inside, outside the region or on the lines.
