Similar Triangles (A) WORKSHEET
Similar Triangles (A) WORKSHEET DESCRIPTION
Students will begin to identify similar triangles, using the conditions of similarity and calculate missing lengths in pairs of similar triangles with this worksheet.
Section A consists of four sets of three triangles. Learners must identify the pair of similar triangles as well as stating the condition for similarity.
In section B, students are told that pairs of triangles are similar and they will calculate the missing lengths in both triangles ensuring they practise using the scale factor of enlargement to increase and decrease given lengths. This section gets increasingly difficult as learners will have to use the angles to identify corresponding lengths in the similar triangles.
All worksheets are created by the team of experienced teachers at Cazoom Maths.

Frequently Asked Questions
Before tackling this worksheet, students should already understand the conditions for similarity between triangles. They'll also need to be confident with identifying corresponding sides and angles in triangles, as this skill becomes particularly important in the later sections where angle information helps determine which sides match up.
