Transformations of Trig Graphs (B) WORKSHEET

Suitable for Year groups: Year 11
Prerequisite knowledge: Trigonometry, rearranging formulae, solving linear equations, trigonometric graphs, transformations of graphs.
Learning Objective: Sketching and describing transformations of trigonometric graphs

Transformations of Trig Graphs (B) WORKSHEET DESCRIPTION

This worksheet is aimed at learners undertaking a Further Maths GCSE course and is also suitable for A-level maths students, however, many of the questions can be used to extend the skills of Higher tier GCSE students.

Learners will need to sketch the graphs to describe the transformations of some trigonometric functions in different intervals and write the period. This worksheet would ideally be used after Trigonometric Graphs (A), Trigonometric Graphs (B) and Transformations of Trig Graphs (A).

All worksheets are created by the team of experienced teachers at Cazoom Maths.

Frequently Asked Questions

Students should be confident with trigonometry basics, rearranging formulae, and solving linear equations before tackling this material. They'll also need a solid understanding of trigonometric graphs and transformations of graphs, as this worksheet builds directly on these foundational concepts. Without these skills in place, learners may struggle with the more advanced transformations covered here.
