Trigonometric Graphs (A) WORKSHEET

Suitable for Year groups: Year 10, Year 11
GCSE Tier: Higher
Targeting grades: 6-7
Prerequisite knowledge: Trigonometry, plotting and sketching graphs
Learning Objective: Drawing the graphs of sin, cos and tan

Trigonometric Graphs (A) WORKSHEET DESCRIPTION

This worksheet can be used to introduce the graphs of the sine, cosine and tangent functions.

Section A asks for learners to label the graphs with the correct function, Section B then uses a fold and hide method to ask learners to recall how the graphs look and challenges them to draw them in different domain intervals.

All worksheets are created by the team of experienced teachers at Cazoom Maths.

Frequently Asked Questions

Students should have a solid understanding of basic trigonometry concepts and be comfortable with plotting and sketching graphs in general. This foundation will help them make connections between the trigonometric ratios they've learned and their graphical representations, making the transition to visualising sine, cosine and tangent functions much smoother.
