Trigonometry (B) - Missing Angles WORKSHEET

Suitable for Year groups: Year 8, Year 9
GCSE Tier: Foundation/Higher
Targeting grades: 4-5
Prerequisite knowledge: 2D shapes, angles, rearranging formulae, using a calculator.
Learning Objective: Use trigonometric ratios in similar triangles to solve problems involving right-angled triangles.

Trigonometry (B) - Missing Angles WORKSHEET DESCRIPTION

Focus on using the tangent, cosine and sine ratios to calculate missing angles within right angles triangles with this worksheet.

In Section A, students will label the sides of right angled triangles using adjacent, opposite and hypotenuse, and choose which is the correct ratio to find missing angles when provided with two lengths of the triangles.

Next, in Section B, learners are provided all the angles and lengths of two different triangles. They must decide which calculations are true or false based on the measurements.

Section C consists of 12 right angled triangles and pupils must calculate one missing angle in each using trigonometric ratios.

All worksheets are created by the team of experienced teachers at Cazoom Maths.
