Using a Calculator (A) WORKSHEET DESCRIPTION

This worksheet encourages pupils to use calculator functions and buttons to carry out operations such as multiplying by pi, squaring/square rooting, fraction arithmetic, negative number operations and more.

In section A, pupils will write down the full calculator display to seven questions such as 4.9². Then in section B, pupils will answer eight worded questions, considering how to use their calculator to do so.

Learners need to be able to find fractions of amounts, calculate differences and solve direct proportion problems.
