Angles on Parallel Lines (A) WORKSHEET DESCRIPTION

Once your learners can confidently identify corresponding, alternate and co-interior angles they are ready to begin calculating missing angles in parallel lines and this worksheet is the ideal place to start. Students are encouraged to state the reasons alongside each angle calculation throughout and we have produced two versions. One with handy clues to get your students going, if necessary.

Section A begins with 4 basic questions to remind your students of the difference between the angles on parallel lines. Section B builds to include angles on straight lines, vertically opposite angles and two-step calculation problems.

This write-on worksheet has ample space for pupil calculations and answers, including reasons.

All worksheets are created by the team of experienced teachers at Cazoom Maths.

Frequently Asked Questions

Your pupils should already be comfortable calculating angles on a straight line and identifying vertically opposite angles before tackling this resource. They'll also need to confidently recognise alternate, corresponding and co-interior angles, as these form the foundation for the angle calculations they'll be performing. If you're unsure whether your class has mastered these concepts, there's a prerequisite knowledge check available to assess their readiness.
