Area of Parallelograms WORKSHEET DESCRIPTION

Our worksheet ‘Area of a Parallelogram’ aims to enable your students to form a link between calculating the area of parallelograms and rectangles before they continue to solve problems.

Whilst completing this worksheet, learners will: find the area of parallelograms drawn on centimetre square grids and those with given dimensions in all orientations, use given areas to find missing lengths, and draw 3 different parallelograms with an area of 12cm2 on a centimetre square grid.

Throughout pupils will be challenged to choose a perpendicular height over a slanted height as well as multiplying decimal numbers.

All worksheets are created by the team of experienced teachers at Cazoom Maths.
