Area of Trapezia (B) WORKSHEET

This worksheet will see your pupils find the area of the trapezia and working with the area of trapezia to solve problems.

There are five questions which will see learners: calculating the areas of three different trapezia in question 1, using areas to find a missing length and the height in questions 2 and 3, drawing trapezia with a specified area on square grids in question 4, spot, explain and correct an incorrect answer to a question in question 5 and using the perimeter of an isosceles trapezium to find the area in question 6.

Question 6 does bring some extra challenge as students are required to Pythagoras to find the height of the trapezium.
