This worksheet is designed to link the concrete visual representation of cube numbers to the numerical index notation form.

Section A asks learners to think about the number of small cubes that form larger cubes.

Section B presents a completion table showing the visual, index notation and numerical value of some cube numbers.

Section C asks learners to complete the list of the first 10 cube numbers.

Section D gives a fill in the box activity for either the base number or the cube number.

Section E asks learners to circle the cube numbers in a list of random integers and finally section F provides more boxes to fill to solve problems involving cube and square numbers.
