Dividing by Multiples of Ten WORKSHEET DESCRIPTION

Once students are comfortable with their times tables facts, they can begin to multiply and divide larger numbers mentally. This worksheet will see learners dividing multiples of ten.

In sections A and B, pupils will begin by dividing ten pairs of numbers such as 450 ÷ 90 and 5600 ÷ 70 including some questions presented in fraction form.

Section C consists of three worded questions to answer such as, how many buses are needed for a school trip. A useful point to discuss why the operation used is division.

This worksheet is paired with ‘Multiplying by Multiples of Ten’.
