Square Numbers WORKSHEET DESCRIPTION

This worksheet is designed to link the concrete visual representation of square numbers to the numerical index notation form.

Section A asks learners to count the number of small squares that form the larger square numbers and to draw the next square number using the provided grid.

Section B presents a completion table showing the visual, index notation and numerical value of some square numbers.

Section C asks learners to complete the list of the first 10 square numbers.

Section D gives a fill in the box activity for either the base number or the square number.

Section E asks learners to circle the square numbers in a list of random integers and finally section F provides more boxes to fill to solve problems involving sums of square numbers.
