This worksheet is an ideal first step for learners being introduced to substituting into basic formulae, as it utilises algebra tiles. Students will 'build' expressions with the tiles before substituting a numerical value in place of 𝒙.
In Section A, students will substitute the value 3 into single and two-step expressions, while in Section B, they will substitute the value -7.
