Trial and Improvement (B) WORKSHEET DESCRIPTION

The topic of this worksheet is no longer on the GCSE specification but is still useful to provide an opportunity for learners to think about solving equations using a method of trial and improvement.

Section A provides some tables and equations and leads learners through the process of trialling values to solve equations and then improving their trials to find answers correct to 2 decimal places.

Section B is similar to section A but requires answers to 3 significant figures.

Section C then provides some questions regarding the 2D and 3D shapes that can be solved using trial and improvement.

All worksheets are created by the team of experienced teachers at Cazoom Maths.
