Once your learners are confident in adding and subtracting algebraic fractions with single term denominators, challenge them with this worksheet that involves binomial denominators.
In Section A students have 8 minimally different questions to answer which are designed to help students grasp these concepts more thoroughly by changing one element of a problem at a time.
Then in Section B learners knowledge is put to the test as they spot, explain and correct common misconceptions in two questions, workings and answers.
Pupils will finish by completing 5 further questions. The challenge is increased here and will even see them working with three fractions in one expression and adding fractions to an integer.
