This set of eight applying Pythagoras’ theorem questions will see students: finding missing lengths in right angle triangles in order to find another in two triangle problems, using exact values in surd form in order to calculate integer answers, calculating the perimeter of an image created using right angled triangles, showing that a triangle constructed inside a square does not has a right angle, using a given area of a sector to calculate chord length and applying algebraic thinking and solving an equation in order to calculate triangular lengths.
Questions 3 and 8 appear on higher tier syllabus only.
