This worksheet follows nicely from Percentages of Amounts (B) and extends to the mental methods for calculating percentages of amounts.
The first eight questions are scaffolded to help students see how a percentage can be found using a combination or difference of simpler percentages. The questions lead the students through providing clues along the way, slowly reducing the number of clues until the last eight questions, where they will need to do all the thinking for themselves.
This is an excellent process for students to follow when calculating percentages mentally.
