Plans and Elevations (A) is an ideal starting point for learners to familiarise themselves with plans and elevations. Students spend time understanding what plans and elevations look like and are guided towards drawing these independently.
In Section A, your pupils will use coloured pencils to shade in the front and side elevation, along with the plans of 11 different 3D shapes that have been constructed out of cubes. Learners are then provided with four different images of either a front, side elevation or a plan and are asked to match these to the correct 3D shape in Section B.
Pupils then draw the elevations of four of the 3D shapes in Section C and in Section D are asked to consider which of the 3D shapes share a plan or elevation in section D.
