Learners will draw the plans and elevations of 8 different 3D shapes whilst completing this worksheet. All of the 3D shapes are constructed out of cubes which aids pupils' understanding of what can be seen from each elevation and simplifies the concept. Further scaffolding is present as each shape is constructed by adding one extra cube on the previous image. This enables a chance for discussion around how adding the various cubes changes the plans and elevations that have already been drawn and provides additional support for learners who have difficulty in spatial reasoning.
