Substituting into Formulae (A) Word Problems WORKSHEET DESCRIPTION
This worksheet introduces students to substituting into formulae from worded problems as well as creating formulae for different scenarios.
In section A, students will answer five questions where they are given formulae and must use them to calculate either the subject or another variable from given information. Section B asks students to create a formula for three different scenarios.
Questions are based around the following themes: volume, area, surface area, perimeter, speed, fare calculation for a taxi driver and rates of a mechanic.
We have created two versions of this worksheet, this version without clues and one with. Choose whichever works best for your class/individual or have both available.
