Students can complete this worksheet after being introduced to formulae, the ‘subject’ and rearranging formulae. All the formulae take one step, or occasionally two, to change the subject and the worksheet has four different sections.
In sections A and B, students will use addition or subtraction to change the subject of each formula. The variables used are consistent throughout section A.
Next, in sections C and D, students are required to use division to rearrange each formula.
This ‘write on’ worksheet has enough space for your students’ workings and answers.
To extend students, encourage them to use substitution to check their rearrangement.
