Doubling Numbers to 20 - Addition WORKSHEET

Suitable for Year groups: Year 2, Year 3
Learning objective: Doubling numbers and quantities

Doubling Numbers to 20 - Addition WORKSHEET DESCRIPTION

Here students can use numbers lines to aid them in the doubling of numbers up to 20.

All questions are presented as addition, for example 8 + 8. There are eight questions altogether, each with its own number line. Learners will practise doubling single and two digit numbers as well as both odd and even numbers. Some numbers require regrouping, for example 17 + 17 but using a number line can eliminate this if preferred.

All worksheets are created by the team of experienced teachers at Cazoom Maths.

Frequently Asked Questions

This worksheet is designed for Year 2 and Year 3 pupils who are developing their addition skills. The visual support provided by the number lines makes it accessible for younger learners whilst still challenging them with both single and two-digit numbers. It's particularly helpful for children who are building confidence with mental maths strategies.
